These charcoal drawings are still lifes. In class, we arranged the room and drew directly from observation, capturing what we saw before us. The objects included empty bottles, folded paper, animal bones, Christmas tree ornaments, and other assorted items. By using varied line work, careful shading, and selective highlights, I was able to create drawings that convey depth and fine detail.
